[edit] 10.00-11.30ish Room C - Discussion: designing RDF services for audio and video
Some questions to start the discussion (please edit and augment!!):
* How should the BBC Programme Ontology at [1] and the uriPlay ontology at [2] be used together? * How much detail should be provided about the relationship between programs? Is there a tradeoff between complexity and accessibility to the development community? Or should we put as much in as possible? * Should distribution 'policies' be separated from Location, Encoding, Recording * How should resources be mapped to URIs? The uriplay project has done some thinking here * What are the advantages and disadvantages of using a triple store, vs. a domain-specific relational database?
[edit] 11:30-12:00 Room A - Lightning Talks
Rules of Lightning Talks at SemanticCampLondon:
- We have a half an hour slot, so talks are limited to a maximum of 4 minutes per person
- If you have not presented at SemanticCampLondon and you are not planning to do a half-hour slot then its highly recommended that you do one of these. Things you could talk about if you aren't sure: Why are you interested in the Semantic Web and What kind of experience do you have of it.
- Lightning talks are quick and informal. You can open it up to the attendees (aka audience) by asking questions, but remember you will have to finish on the 4th minute.
- As things are very quick, one person following another very quickly then slides aren't necessary and are not-encouraged as this creates fiddly presenter changeovers.
